Almost all slaves were living in South, a fact that conduct to the clear cultural differentiation between North and South. In South, the political and military authorities esteem the principles of equality and freedom in South, slavery was the rule for black and people in minorities. In terms of the characteristics of the society also, North was different from South in North, middleclass people represented the high percentage of the population, a fact that led to the development of different ethics and culture compared to the South where the distinction between the classes was pregnant two main social classes could be identified in South the farmers and the poor people (Macrohistory and World Report 2011, online article).
